Warden gives Paige much more leeway than most other Rephaite. Paige wants to escape, even though her life in Sheol I is fairly easy since she was claimed by Warden, a high-ranking Rephaite. They also use voyants to fight the flesh-eating Emin. Sheol I is controlled by the Rephaite who feed on the aether of voyants. Instead of being sent to the Tower, she is sent to Sheol I at Oxford. She’s a dreamwalker in a world where clairvoyance is outlawed and the authorities are coming for her. Summary: Short version: Paige tries to escape a prison for clairvoyants Length: 452 pages of story, 466 pages total The worst is when it’s the next book in a series and it’s been years since I read the previous book. The old books are the trickiest because sometimes my opinions on books have changed.
